In my spare time I like to mix music, I do this using my Vestax VCI-100 in combination with Traktor. Due to my laziness I normally don’t save any of the work I make, but it might be a nice idea to have a mix with the hottest electro/progressive house/minimal each month.

Therefore I present the HardeMaandelijkeMegaMix or: Hard Monthly Mega Mix (Hmmm for short, best name I could think of)

Command line snippet of the week: 50

Forget that your running as underprivileged? No need to retype the command:

> command_with_insufficient_permissions
Permission denied

sudo !!

The !! parameter repeats the previous command, thus no need to retype!

Speed up connection by switching DNS

Namebench is a Google 20% project and helps you find the fastest DNS server for your connection. Most of the time your ISP DNS is not the fastest. For me switching to OpenDNS meant a 40% speed increase in terms of resolving hostnames to IP addresses which has been really noticeable.
